Eastern Moravia Pilgrimage Routes

Pilgrimage route created between Holy Hostyn and Velehrad brought an opportunity to prepare tourism product with the offer of an active pilgrimage. East Moravian Tourist Authority prepared this offer upon suggestion by European Routes promotional organization (I Cammini d´Europa). The specific of this offer is the process of product itinerary creation. This Itinerary, that contains cognition of history, wandering between pilgrimage places, tasting regional cuisine, stay in Luhačovice Spa, was at first verified in practice by two Italian Tourists.

Moravian Amber Trail II

The objective of the project is to increase the contribution of tourism to the economic prosperity of the region NUTS II Central Moravia, increase the promotion of the destination in source markets of Austria, Italy and Germany, and create a supra-competitive tourist product aimed at the target group of these countries. The Province of Rieti is little known as a tourist destination and for this reason few years ago, following the well known example of Caminos de Santiago (Spain), the provincial administration started promoting the Route as an opportunity for visibility and knowledge of the whole area.

The Quality Trail Evaluation System is a German Certificate for high quality hiking trails in Germany. What makes this certificate special is the project initiator’s definition of quality. These routes became an integral and basic part of the Mediterranean culture.
